We host retreats in two sacred regions of Peru: the Amazon jungle near Iquitos, and the highlands of the Sacred Valley near Cusco. Your welcome email includes full directions, check-in details, and pickup instructions based on your chosen location.
Fly into Lima, Peru, then take a domestic flight to either Iquitos or Cusco. Please don’t book tickets until your application is approved. We recommend arriving at least one day before your retreat to rest and acclimate. Departures should be scheduled after 2:00 p.m. on the final day for a smooth transition home.
Our retreat experience is all-inclusive once you arrive—covering lodging, ceremonies, food, water, and support. However, you are responsible for your own travel to Peru, a hotel the night before the retreat, and any personal expenses such as tips, local transport, or souvenirs.
If you’re joining us in Iquitos, we’ll coordinate airport pickup and bring you to your hotel the night before the retreat. From there, we travel together by boat or bus deep into the rainforest.
In Cusco, you’ll take a taxi from the city to the retreat center (about 1 hour and 20 minutes). If you arrive early or stay after, you can explore local markets or visit sacred sites like Sacsayhuamán or even Machu Picchu.
At the end of your retreat, you’ll have the opportunity to offer a tip. This supports our large local Peruvian Blue Morpho team working behind the scenes to care for your meals, comfort, and safety. The recommended amount is $100–$300 USD. Your generosity directly supports the families of our local community and is deeply appreciated.
Most guests from the U.S., EU, Canada, and Australia do not need a visa for tourism. Vaccinations and malaria medication are optional. Travel insurance is required and must be presented at check-in.
You’ll stay in peaceful, retreat-style lodges with clean rooms, private or shared bathrooms, hot showers, and serene jungle or mountain surroundings. Some sites offer gardens, hammocks, spas, or pools for your rest and integration.
Yes. Meals are prepared fresh with locally sourced ingredients and follow ayahuasca-safe dietary guidelines. You will not go hungry. Most dietary needs can be accommodated—just let us know in advance.
Please note: Tap water in Peru is not potable. We provide bottled or purified “agua de mesa” water throughout your stay. Avoid tap water even when brushing your teeth.
Yes. Peru is generally safe, though petty theft can occur in tourist areas. We’ll provide tips on staying secure and can connect you with trusted local guides in Iquitos if you’d like to explore.
Everyone completes a confidential medical screening as part of registration. Some health conditions—such as heart disease or mental health diagnoses—and certain medications may be contraindicated with ayahuasca.
Only those cleared by our team. Most medications and supplements must be paused before arrival, with the exception of birth control. Always consult your physician before making any changes.
Yes. In Peru, ayahuasca is recognized as a national cultural treasure, “Cultural Patrimony of the Nation“, and is legal. When guided by experienced practitioners in a secure setting, it can be profoundly safe, transformative, and healing.
Our brew follows a proprietary 7-generation recipe made on-site using sacred plants grown and harvested locally. Our Sanctuary method—a structure refined through thousands of ceremonies—ensures safety, energetic integrity, and deep personal insight.
The shaman safeguards the energetic space, guides the experience, and helps you understand what arises. Maestro Hamilton Souther brings over a traditional apprenticeship and 20+ years of facilitation, bridging Amazonian tradition with clear, grounded guidance in English.
Yes. All guests receive guidance and integration advice as part of the retreat. For deeper support, we offer optional programs that include community integration, live transmissions, ceremonies, mentorship, Q&As with Hamilton, and 1-on-1 coaching.
Your retreat donation covers everything once you arrive: ceremonies, lodging, meals, water, integration support, and a carefully held space. You are responsible for your travel to Peru, one night of hotel before the retreat, personal items, and gratuity.
